A native Angeleno who grew up in East Los Angeles. Tony has worked in youth development in East Los Angeles. As the Community Programs Director for Calo YouthBuild, Tony works with youth in Boyle Heights to create an inclusive sustainable Boyle Heights in the areas of transportation, community development, food insecurities and water conservation. In his off time, you can find Tony biking all over Los Angeles and making LA a healthier more vibrant city. An active cyclist he volunteers with several community organization to make the streets safer for cyclists. He has been an active organizer with Multicultural Communities for Mobility, an organization dedicated to promoting safe commutes for pedestrians and cyclists alike in low income communities of color. Tony feels blessed to be able to give back to the community that has developed him to become the person he is today.
